Q - How Does my Calendar Work?
A - Each time you post an entry in your blog, it will automatically generate a link to that entry on your blog calendar on the date your entry was posted. The RITRO blog calendar exists exclusively to record your blog entries and will not perform functions such as recording birthdays, anniversaries or personal events.
Q - Who Can Read My Blog?
A - When customizing your blog, you can choose to have your blog locked or public. If your blog is locked, only you (and those with whom you share your passcode) will be able to access your blog entries. However, should you choose to customize an unlocked blog, your blog will be able to be viewed by anyone.
Q - Why aren't my entries appearing on the blog home page under latest blog entries?
A - Only UNLOCKED blog entries will appear on the blog home page under latest blog entries. Locked blogs will not record latest entries on the home page.
Q - How can I change the appearance of my blog?
A - RITRO blogs each come equipped with a "customize" feature with which bloggers can select pre-existing templates. However, each blog page also accepts html coding to allow for various font colors, styles and additional customization. For more information on html, view Posting Pretty at RITRO.com
Q - Can I Edit or Delete a Blog Entry?
A - From your personal blog page, when browsing your entries, each title provides a link to edit or delete your entry. However, use these features with caution. Once an entry is deleted, it will not be able to be retrieved. Blog entries are also meant to be "raw" and "unpolished," so use the edit feature with care.
Q - Why Can't I access certain blogs via the "browse blogs" feature?
A - If you're unable to access a specific blog, chances are the blogger has chosen to lock their blog. The only way to access locked blogs is with the blogger's permissions and passcode.
Q - What is the Web site address for my personal blog?
A - Blog URLs are found in the address bar at the top of each blog page. Simply copy the URL from your "MyRITRO" page, or use the convenient "Share My Blog With a Friend" feature.
Q - Is my blog going to have banner ads or pop-up windows?
A - Absolutely not! RITRO blogs will not host advertisements of any kind. Your page will be banner free and will never have a pop up ad.
Q - How do I change my password?
A - You can change your password at any time by clicking on the "customize blog" link from your "MyRITRO" page.
Q - I already posted a public biography at RITRO.com - why isn't it showing up in my blog profile?
A - RITRO blogs are separate from the general RITRO.com areas. Therefore, public biographies are also separated. You'll need to create a separate public biography by clicking on "customize blog" in your RITRO blog, although you can copy and paste from your RITRO.com public biography if you wish for them to be the same.
Q - How much does it cost to start my own Blog?
A - 3 levels of premium membership at RITRO.com are available which allow you to create your own blog. 3 months is $10.95, 6 months is $18.95 and 1 year is $34.95. The longer the subscription you purchase the better value you get.
Q - Can I upload my own picture?
A - When customizing your blog by using the "MyRITRO" link, you have the opportunity to upload a picture of yourself. This picture must be in .jpg or .gif format and the maximum file size is 500 Kilobytes with maximum dimensions of 150 X 150 pixels).
Q - Does it cost money just to browse the existing Blogs?
A - No, but premium membership is required to start and maintain your own blog.
Q - If my membership expires, does my blog get deleted?
A - Your blog will not get deleted. However, if your membership expires, you will no longer be able to access it to make updates and changes. When you renew your premium membership, you will once again have full access to your blog.
